This documentary traces the history of the yellow fever epidemic in the United States, Cuba, and the Panama Canal Zone. The yellow fever commission is featured; especially Walter Reed, James Carroll, Jesse Lazear, Aristides Agramonte, George Miller Sternberg and the Cuban scientist Carlos Finlay. Among the people interviewed and who appear on screen are: Colonel John Pearce (Retired, US Army Medical Corps), Colonel Robert Joy (Retired Military Historian), Thomas Goethals (Grandson of the Chief Engineer of the the Panama Canal), Colonel James Royce (Retired, Great Grandson of Walter Reed), Michael Fink (Anthropologist/Historian), and Jim Writer (Reed Historian).
