Shi Ba is a self-employed profiteer, skilled in deceiving, bragging, speculating and playing. He deceives others, who fool him too. Encountering a dancer, Yu Jing, he decides to reform himself, turning over a new leaf. However, he meets with gangster's blackmail and suffers from wrecking. After the setback, he is not able to recover again and dies in an extreme way. Six months later, his wife gives birth to a boy, called Shi Ba Junior. This seems to be a samsara of his life.
