Summary
On April 22, 1500, a Portuguese ship captained by Cabral landed in Brazil, discovering a land populated by indigenous groups. The initial encounter was recorded by 16th century European navigators with anthropological precision and bore witness to a radically different way of life. This film retraces the mutual process of discovery, comparing written accounts with oral testimonies of members of today's tribes, descendants of those who first welcomed the Portuguese.
