Dabney, [Hampden Sydney, Va.] to Jacob Van Lear, Bartenbrook, Ausugsta County, Va., 1853 October 24, describes the trip to the Synod, ill health, events at the Synod and hospitality of the Hampden-Sydney professors, and a minister for the the Tinkling Springs Church. With this is an undated letter from an anonyous member of the Tinkling Spring church to Dabney, regarding misconduct by two members of the congregation.
