Use quotation marks to find phrases:

Use uppercase OR, AND, and NOT to create complex searches:
> kyoto NOT protocol
> "frida kahlo" AND exhibitions

Use parentheses to group parts of your search:
> (calico OR "tortoise shell") AND cats

Use “Limit Results By” options on the left to refine searches by limiting results to items matching any of the selected values.
Some facet selection lists are very long; use your browser's page search (usually Ctrl-F) to locate the selections you want to include.

Check "Don't Stem" to turn off word stemming and search for words exactly as entered.
With this selected, alternate word endings (-ing, -able, -tion, -ed, etc.) will not be included in the search unless specified.
