Summary
Monocular brass microscope with tweezers stored in a wooden box. The microscope belonged to Edward Anderson Holmes (fils), a student at UVa in 1890. He lived on the Lawn in Pavilion VI with his uncle, George Frederick Holmes, a professor at UVa. The donor is the grand niece of E.A. Holmes. She gave the microscope in honor and memory of E.A. Holmes and G.F. Holmes.
