U.S. Army Nurse's Uniform From World War II

This uniform was worn by Ruth Beery, Chief Nurse of the U.S. Army 8th Evacuation Hospital unit during World War II. It is an olive green nurse's uniform jacket with gold-colored buttons; Ruth Beery sewn into collar; red, white and blue "A5" patch on left arm; (2) silver bars attached to each shoulder; (3) bar pins above left breast pocket: one solid pink with white ends (Legion of Merit ribbon), one multicolored with red center and rainbow outer stripes (World War II Victory ribbon), one with (4) stars and multicolored background (Europe, Africa, Middleast campaign ribbon).
