Abstract
In Prince Edward County, Virginia Governor J. Lindsay Almond alleges that the Supreme Court called for the principles of the Brown v. Board of Education ruling to be "enunciated and evaluated" by local district courts, arguing that the Supreme Court's response to Virginia's massive resistance efforts proves that this provision was merely "nice language" meant to comfort dissenters, with "no meaning whatever."
