A Roanoke, Va., city official tells WSLS-TV reporter Glenn Howell that construction of the Roanoke Civic Center is running two to three weeks behind due to problems with the bedrock. The delay will not affect the previously scheduled completion date of May 1970. Footage shows members of the Roanoke City Council, including Mayor Roy L. Webber, Vice Mayor James O. Trout, and Councilman David K. Lisk, at the construction site.
