Abstract
Roanoke, Va., City Councilman Dr. Charles M. Cornell confirms rumors that he has been asked to run against State Senator Earl Fitzpatrick for a seat on the Virginia Senate. Cornell explains that he plans to evaluate support levels in the community before committing to a campaign, asserting his belief that the district is direly in need of a better representative, whether or not he is the man for the job.
