Abstract
A man discusses the closing of the American Viscose manufacturing plant in Roanoke, Va., and its effects on the local unemployment rate. He says that unemployment will rise from 8% to 10%, which is far above the national average, and that there are plans to aid unemployed plant workers despite the scarcity of local jobs.
