Abstract
Americans Carol Heiss and Tenley Albright perform before a crowd of spectators during the free-style portion of the figure skating competition at the Olympic Winter Games in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy. The audience applauds and the competitors congratulate each other as medals are awarded, with Albright in first place, Heiss in second, and Ingrid Wendl of Austria in third.
