The WSLS-TV News Film Collection, 1951-1971, comprises anchor scripts and 16mm news film created by Roanoke, Va., television station WSLS. A grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities funded the preservation and digitization of this collection.

Abstract
Cars fill the newly-expanded parking lot of the Belmont Park race track; a new bus terminal, railroad station, and six new escalators help patrons get to the track more easily; fifteen models line up to compete in the annual New York fashion display; the jockeys and their horses enter the race track and patrons place their bets at parimutual windows.
