The WSLS-TV News Film Collection, 1951-1971, comprises anchor scripts and 16mm news film created by Roanoke, Va., television station WSLS. A grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities funded the preservation and digitization of this collection.

Abstract
70,000 fans fill Municipal Stadium in Cleveland for the annual all-star baseball game; players line up in the dugout and on the field to have their picture taken; Casey Stengel and Walter Alston shake hands; Robin Roberts pitches for the National League team, Bob Avila hits a single, and Al Rosen hits a home run; Duke Snider makes a hit off of pitcher Sandy Consuegra, and Ted Kluszewski makes a hit up the right field line; Jackie Robinson hits a double into right-center field; Gus Bell hits a home run that drives in Willie Mays for another run; Larry Doby hits a home run and ties the game 9-9; Nellie Fox makes the final hit of the game and drives in the two winning runs of the game for the American League to make the final score 11-9.
