Abstract
In Roanoke, Virginia Governor Thomas B. Stanley speaks to WSLS-TV reporter Jim Walsh regarding progress towards a constitutional convention after Stanley's proposal of an amendment to the Virginia Constitution that would authorize the state to withhold funding from public schools complying with the Supreme Court's orders to integrate. Stanley states that he is feeling encouraged after meeting with General Assembly members throughout the state, but he emphasizes the need for a "campaign of information" to familiarize Virginia residents with the details of the proposal.
