Abstract
Roanoke, Va., candidates for the Virginia House of Delegates Hazel Barger and Kossen Gregory speak at a meeting of the Roanoke Junior Chamber of Commerce. Barger speaks on the importance of improving hospital conditions for mentally and emotionally handicapped children. Gregory presents statistics on voter turnout in Virginia and other states, arguing that the poll tax is a deterrent to voting in Virginia and promising that he and fellow Democratic candidate Julian Rutherfoord will continue efforts to abolish the poll tax in the state.
