Abstract
WSLS-TV reporter Bill Mason reports from the Roanoke River Lookout on the Blue Ridge Parkway. According to Mason, some facilities on the Virginia stretch of the parkway are now open after harsh winter conditions caused them to close, with other facilities soon to follow. In Bedford, Va., the Peaks of Otter lodge, restaurant, and service station are now open. Footage shows Park Ranger Russell A. Case opening the barricades to the parkway and images of the Roanoke River.
