Abstract
WSLS-TV reporter Lee Garrett talks to an employee of the Home Lumber Corporation about the economics of building materials. The price of lumber from the West Coast has risen in the past year, which in turn drives housing prices up in the Roanoke, Va., area. The employee says the Federal Housing Administration has tried to curb the price increase by giving out loans but predicts that the real estate market will not recover easily.
