WSLS-TV reporter Jim Walsh speaks with Benjamin F. Moomaw, managing director for Roanoke's "Diamond Jubilee" 75th anniversary celebration, regarding plans for the celebration, which is scheduled for the following year. Moomaw remarks that members of the Diamond Jubilee planning committee are feeling encouraged after the high turnout at an interest meeting earlier in the evening, explaining that a successful celebration will necessitate the voluntary participation of every able person in the community, with approximately 2000 volunteers needed to fill roles in a historical pageant and an additional 1000 to serve on various organizing committees.
