Abstract
Radford, Va., residents participate in festivities during the town's centennial anniversary celebration. A police officer stages a mock raid on the New River Saloon, dragging two costumed "tipplers" from the building, while saloon employees, also costumed, shake their fists in pretended rage. Three women in old-fashioned dresses look into a "wishing well," while another, in a bonnet, buys a soda from a drink stand with two costumed attendants. Spectators gather around an antique Norfolk and Western Railway freight engine, on display with a sign reading "The Old...N&W Engine No. 475. Come and See!"
