Abstract
In Roanoke, Va., United States Marine Corps officers Captain Robert Scruggs, Major Roy M. Kinsey, and Major O. L. Garber question Reverend A.M. Williams concerning a letter to the editor in which Williams questioned Marine recruit training practices, suggesting that poorly supervised and overly rigorous training causes unnecessary injuries and drives some recruits to commit suicide.
