Abstract
Director of Roanoke Parks and Recreation Rex T. Mitchell, Jr., tells WSLS-TV about preparing Victory Stadium in Roanoke, Va., for the upcoming football game featuring Virginia Polytechnic Institute and Virginia Military Institute. Mitchell and his crew paint the entire football field green with a combination of water and paint. According to Mitchell, rain would devastate their work, so in the event of inclement weather, the crew would put the top on the stadium to keep the field dry. Footage shows his crew wielding large hoses and spraying the dull grass green.
