In Richmond, Va., Virginia Senator H. Clyde Pearson, Jr., disagrees with the current amendment process, in which the Virginia General Assembly completely rewrites the state constitution. Pearson and his fellow Republican senators advocate a constitutional convention to revise the Constitution of Virginia.
