Abstract
Fire destroys the house at 1501 Patterson Avenue SW, in Roanoke, Va. Firefighters climb ladders that reach into the third story of the building as a crowd watches from below. Footage shows water streaming down the stairs as a firefighter climbs upstairs, then cuts to two firefighters with hoses spraying water in a dark room.
