Abstract
Virginia State Park Director Ben H. Bolen tells WSLS-TV reporter Bill Mason about the proposed plan to construct Smith Mountain Lake, a new Virginia state park in Bedford County, Va. In order to execute this plan, the Outdoor Recreation Study Commission must gather sufficient funds from the Virginia state legislature. Bolen says that the commission will appeal to the legislature to allocate some of its budget in 1970 toward the creation of this park.
