Miss Virginia winner Cherie Suzanne Davis dines at a restaurant with friends, and Mayor of Roanoke Roy L. Webber presents Davis with a corsage. Davis says goodbye to well-wishers and boards an airplane at Woodrum Airport for the Miss America pageant in Atlantic City, N. J. Footage switches to images of a sign welcoming visitors to the "World's Best Little Town," Bedford, Va., and then to views of Bedford, including downtown and neighborhood streets, a church, and city center.
