The WSLS-TV News Film Collection, 1951-1971, comprises anchor scripts and 16mm news film created by Roanoke, Va., television station WSLS. A grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities funded the preservation and digitization of this collection.

Abstract
Footage shows a small building in an enclosure at the corner of Wentworth Avenue and Williamson Road, in which one of several new radio beacons has been installed as a navigational aid for planes landing at Woodrum Field Airport in Roanoke, Va. A sign outside the fence warns against trespassers, identifying the site as an "aviation aid."
