Abstract
Members of the Lynchburg Lifesaving Crew try in vain to revive a young boy after his accidental drowning in a pond in Bedford County, Va. Police officers and others crowd around the dock where crew members are working, while several of the boy's friends sit on the bank, talking with an officer from the Virginia State Police.
