Abstract
The Superintendent of Roanoke City Public Schools Dorothy Gibboney expresses her support for a half-day kindergarten program. The execution of this program is dependent on the approval of a state program of reimbursement for teachers. Gibboney cites the resources necessary for the success of this program, such as certified kindergarten teachers, all of which the City of Roanoke has.
