Abstract
French actress Christine Carere arrives at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington to premiere her movie "Mardi Gras," filmed in part at the institute. She dines in the mess hall with Cadet First Captain Howard Sprinkle and attends football practice where she poses with Pete Johnson, kicks a football, and autographs a football for team captains Bobby Ross and Jerry Borst. Carere is presented with a regimental saber by Cadet Captain Sprinkle at a full-dress parade in her honor.
