Members of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations Committee on Political Education meet in the Patrick Henry Hotel to elect new officials. Sixth district Representative Richard Poff and U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Louise Wenzel address the group. State AFL-CIO President Harold Boyd explains to WSLS-TV reporter Jim Walsh why the committee endorsed Wenzel over Senator Harry Byrd.
