The WSLS-TV News Film Collection, 1951-1971, comprises anchor scripts and 16mm news film created by Roanoke, Va., television station WSLS. A grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities funded the preservation and digitization of this collection.

Abstract
Representatives of the local governing bodies of the City of Roanoke, Salem, Vinton, Roanoke County, and Botetourt County, as well as members of the press, meet at the Hotel Roanoke to discuss the possibility of building a civic center with an auditorium in the Roanoke area. Roanoke Councilmember Robert Garland leads the meeting, which includes Roanoke Mayor Murray Stoller, Salem Mayor James Moyer, and Vinton Mayor Shirley Crowder.
