Abstract
WSLS-TV reporter Bill Mason reports on a plan concocted by United States Senator William B. Spong, Jr. Senator Spong's goal is to improve travel on highways within states, not just between them. The plan entails rectifying the heavy traffic conditions on Interstate 581 which runs through Roanoke, Va. Footage shows Mason standing at the intersection of Interstate 581 and Elm Avenue in Roanoke, Va.
