Virginia State Senator and gubernatorial candidate Henry Evans Howell, Jr., comments on the gubernatorial race and the fragmented Democratic Party in Virginia. Senator Howell criticizes Virginia Governor Mills E. Godwin, Jr., for exacerbating the schism between liberal and conservative members of the Democratic Party. Governor Godwin does not support Howell's campaign for governor, spurring these comments by the state senator.
