From the UVa Medical Alumni News Letter, May 1964: "Miss Annie G. Lipscomb, whose appointment as Secretary to the Medical School was recently announced, received an inlaid plaque from the Seven Society on the night of April 12 [1964], with a letter which read: 'On this, the eve of Founder's Day, 1964, we acknowledge with deep appreciation your loyalty and devotion to the University of Virginia. You are known and respected not only by thy students, faculty and staff of the School of Medicine, but by the entire University community. Your many contributions to the welfare of the University and her students are cherished. We are particularly appreciative of your continued interest in the welfare of the University as a whole and especially the student body. Please accept the attach symbol of our Society as a small token of our appreciation.'"
