The program included a welcome from Jill Ford, CLAS IV; singing of the Negro National Anthem; poetry presentation by Hilda Ward, Student Health; Youth Alive Children's Choir directed by Christian Johnson; readings by Ryan Colemna-Ferebee, CLAS IV; Shakeya Currie, CLAS III; and Joseph Jackson, CLAS IV; a performance by Black Voices; introduction of speaker by Aisha Langford, CLAS IV; Keynote Address by Derrick Bell, New York University Law School; and closing remarks by M. Rick Turner, Dean, Office of African-American Affairs. The events took place in Old Cabell Hall auditorium.
