Penland, right, are shown installing an electrical discharge tube which produces glowing gases for use in flow visualization. Robinson and Penland are candidates for Master of Aeronautical Engineering Degrees in the graduate program of the Department of Engineering of the University of Virginia. Their present program on high altitude aerodynamics involving the above equipment will be used as material for thesis. Williams, incidentally, is a graduate of the Department of Physics of the University of Virginia.
