Corporate executive Kenneth Bacon was born on October 12, 1954, in Houston, Texas. He earned his B.A. degree in anthropology from Stanford University in 1976, and his M.Sc. degree in international relations from the London School of Economics, where he studied as a Marshall Scholar. He earned his M.B.A. degree from Harvard Business School in 1982. After graduating, Bacon served as vice president at Kidder, Peabody & Co. in New York. He joined Morgan Stanley in 1987 as a vice president. In 1990, Bacon became director of office securitization for Resolution and Trust Company in Washington, D.C. He joined Fannie Mae in 1993 as senior vice president in charge of its American Communities Fund, and was promoted to executive vice president and head of the multifamily business in 2004, serving in this position until 2012. Upon leaving Fannie Mae, Bacon co-founded Railfield Realty Partners, where he serves as managing partner.
