Summary
Presents an old German legend about a poor student in Prague who falls in love with a wealthy countess. He sells his reflection to an agent of the devil in order to become rich, then buys it back at the expense of his life. With a theme reminiscent of the Faust legend, this is considered to be one of the first independent horror films.
