Summary
S. Ferchiou, an anthropologist, takes us to the island of Jerba, where the village of Guellala is situated. We watch the master potters throwing and handbuilding a variety of classic shapes of jugs and vases, that are exported all over the Mediterranean. We also take part in many other aspects of the inhabitants social life and customs, and we get a feeling of the impact of tourism on the social, cultural and economic life of Guellala.
