Summary
Two photographs of 4th and 5th grade students (all girls) enrolled in Sister Perpetua's class at St. Joseph's Academy and Orphans Asylum in Richmond, Virginia. At the time this was taken in 1914, the Academy was located on North 4th Street between Broad and Marshall Streets. The photographs are identical with one listing the names of the girls pictured on the backside.
Girls pictured and named include (spellings could be wrong): Charlotte Bolton, Lena Dolle Ludu, Madeline Fisher, Margaret Powers, Zimmerman, Catharine Carter, Margaret Schiall, Nora? St. Joseph's Academy was founded in 1834 by the Sisters of Charity. In the 1930's the school became known as St. Joseph's Villa.
