Summary
To defeat the Japanese and to do the job thoroughly, we have got to understand them thoroughly... This, then, is the enemy: primitive, murderous, and fanatical. This stridently anti-Japanese Prelinger Archives film, a training tool for U.S. Navy personnel, attempts to convey an understanding of Japanese life and philosophy so that America may more readily defeat its enemy. The highly negative narration is provided by Joseph C. Grew, former U.S. ambassador to Japan. "Against the madness of Japan nothing less than all our efforts will suffice to bring peace and security in our time.
