Photograph Album of World War I Scenes Circa 1917-1918.

The album consists of approximately 200 snapshots and commercially produced and captioned photographs. About 40 of the photographs were taken at Kelly Field, San Antonio, Texas and show unidentified soldiers posing with a donkey, posing on the Pearsall Leon Bridge, standing in a field of cacti. There are also photographs of camp life including a line of tents, a drainage ditch, a blanket toss, a crashed airplane, and an airplane tied down on the field.
The European photographs include scenes in Paris of the Champs-Elysées, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Place de la Concorde, and Notre Dame. Many of the street scenes show gun emplacements and other preparations for war. There are also photographs of unidentified cities showing general war damage; cemeteries; trenches; and, artillery emplacements. Many of the commercially produced photographs are captioned "Chateau Thierry" or "Soissons."
