The letter is written on a lined sheet with an elaborate letterhead printed in blue. There is an image of Uncle Tom and Little Eva in the upper left corner and the caption "Theiss, Jefferson & Clark's big spectacular Uncle Tom's Cabin Co.", both within an ornamental border. Below the image is the text "We carry a first-class company, headed by the talented and well known Walter D. Jefferson as Uncle Tom, together with a new and complete set of scenery. We put the production on in its entirety; we also carry the famous Magnolia Quartette, the original George buck and wing dancers" which is within a different ornamental border.
