  • George W. Ward was a lawyer and newspaper publisher in Abingdon. He and his wife (L.A.C. Preston Ward) had two children, one of whom, "Miss Rosalie Garnett Ward," is listed in the cast of characters of this program.
  • "Probably Abingdon, Virginia. Temperance Hall is now the Barter Theater. Probably 1895 at which time participant Nellie Gildersleeve was 20 years old and April 25th fell on a Thursday." -- Dealer's description, Heartwood Books, Charlottesville, Va.
