Summary
In a third person letter, 1852 August 26, the Queen notes that she has read Lord Dalhousie's dispatch and has told Lord Derby that she agrees with the opinion of the Governor General [Dalhousie], possibly concerning an action taken during the 2nd Anglo-Burmese War. The letter is written on engraved stationery depicting Osborne House.
In a letter to Count Alphonse de Mensdorff Pouilly, 1843 April 7, Prince Albert offers congratulations on his marriage, suggests that he get transferred to another garrison, comments that "Victoria is only a few more days away from an interesting event that will make me appear even more respectable" [the birth of Alice Maud Mary on April 25] and notes Sir Charles Napier's victory in Hyderabad [at the Battle of Miani]
