Jefferson, Monticello, February 11, 1815, writes to William Caruthers of Lexington, Va., presenting his compliments and asking him to have an enclosed letter delivered.
There is also a letter from an unknown correspondent to John W. Dennis of Roseo, Missouri, n.d., describing in detail the appearance, qualities, and temperament of John Randolph of Roanoke. With this is a magazine copy of an engraving of Randolph.
