Summary
The collection contains an 1840 June 4 letter from Tucker Coles, Tallwood, Albemarle County, Va., to John Coles Rutherfoord, Richmond, Va., concerning a horse he wishes Rutherfoord to have, and an 1849 July 8 letter, postmarked Charlottesville, J.B.W. to Jane E. Ellis, Richmond, about the death of a child, removing slaves from a cholera area, and a severe hailstorm.
There is also an 1893 prescription from S.C. Chancellor and Co., signed by G.H. Hammond, and a cased daguerreotype, n.d., of an unidentified young man taken by W.A. Rector, Sky-Light Daguerrian Gallery, Charlottesville.
