Notes
  • Folded map bound between p. 110 and 111 has title: Lac Superieur et autres lieux ou sont les Mission des Peres de la Compagnie de Jesus comprises sous le nom d'Ovtaov̈acs." The same large map of Lake Superior as in Relation of 1670 & 1671. This map is sometimes, but rarely, found with variations, the positions of some missions being changed and new missions added (vide p. 109).
  • Permission in 2 lines on p. [16] dated 9 January 1673, signed "De la Reynie."
  • With this volume the regular publication of the annual "Relations" was discontinued. They were prepared, however, and sent for a number of years afterwards to the Provincial of the Order, in Paris.--Church 622.
  • Signatures: ã⁸ A-Q⁸ R⁴.
  • Title vignette: monogram of Christ supported by two angels; head- and tail-pieces and initials.
