Abstract
An analysis of the career and contributions of one of the accounting profession's leaders, Carman Blough. Having been referred to as the "Accountant's Accountant" and "The dean of the profession", Carman Blough is a predominant figure in historical studies of the accounting profession, not only for the contributions he has made towards the growth of the profession, but also for the attitudes and philosophies that his life has embodied.
